Blast Off

The new Blackheath Rocket was launched today in perfect weather (after a week of rain) with an enthusiastic crowd and many local dignitaries in attendance.

A raffle was held for the honour of being first up (and down) the rocket and a bevy of photographers (including trisharooni) were poised to record the event.
It proved easier said than done as the lucky astronaut was in no hurry to come down, leaving us waiting, focused on the the exit, for what seemed ages.
Exposure and focus were tricky but I did manage to get this one.

Having just seen Trish's extra I've added another of this particularly reluctant little astronaut.
