Simba the Surveyor

Simba enjoyed the warm sunshine we had today and sat in this spot surveying his territory.  He may have to survey somewhere else soon, as we have finally found the house we want!

Many thanks to all of you who wished us well in the search and the recent viewings were a mixed bag.  The first on Friday was a beautifully presented house in a good location for all amenities, but there were several compromises too far for both of us.  

The one today looked like an ideal location on paper, but was actually far up a very steep and winding hill (a challenge for the car, never mind me!) and was a complete renovation project.  Four toilets - all avocado!  We are really not ready to start from scratch again.

The Saturday house (the most expensive, of course!) is the dream house and for once, we both agreed:-)  Immaculately presented, in a good location (although 6 or 7 miles from Perth) and light and spacious.  Not a bungalow, but with space for a lift should the need arise in the future.

The owners were absolutely delightful and we got on so well with them, which is nice as they are downsizing but hoping to stay in the area.  As could be expected, there is a lot of interest in the property, so it could be quite a challenge to succeed if there is a bidding war.  Watch this space:-)
