Crail Harbour
We had hoped for a day away from the hassle of house hunting etc, but it didn't quite go to plan! First we had to call out an emergency plumber for a leaking toilet valve, then TJ struggled to replace the oven door he'd taken off to clean and then a neighbour popped round to ask if she could possibly buy a chunk of our garden:-)
The answer to the neighbour was yes and now seems a good time as she is having her extension built, so we'll need to get an estate agent to value the land.
Instead of a leisurely day round the lovely wee harbours in the East Neuk of Fife, it was a mad dash to get to Crail in time for the High Tea I'd booked weeks ago. The tea didn't start too well, with white bread toast that had barely been singed, but the main course more than made up for it. They served a warm pancake each instead of a scone, which was a pleasant change and the cakes were lovely too.
A quick stroll down towards the harbour afterwards, but this was as far as we got as the wind was biting. Still one of my favourite places, in spite of the weather.
It all kicks off tomorrow, with house viewings on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so fingers crossed that one will be ideal. I've a funny suspicion that the ideal house will be a mix of all three:-)
