Emergency Autumn Blip
This photo is not to be taken as representative of the entire day.
I had hoped for a nice autumny-coloured blip today so we took the path by Mortonhall golf club, expecting the sun to be shining on and through lovely golden beech leaves etc etc. On the way I took a snap of this rowan against a blue sky, purely as a precaution, you understand.
Well, huh!
Before we had gone far thin clouds were creeping over the sun, deadening the colours. As the sun disappeared and we approached the garden centre a cheeky breeze sprang up, showering leaves off the trees and soon it was raining. We had a coffee in the cafe there and caught a bus home.
Perhaps I'll try again tomorrow.
