Persian rug

When we get a spell of summer sunshine, the persian rug will go out for a while. It was bought at an auction in Singapore in the 1980s, probably after a mellow lunch at the Hilton. The design is a traditional fish (herati) pattern and the diamond medallion suggests the rug may have come from Heriz, Anatolia or the Caucasus.
