Almost Easter in the garden.

I've managed to prune the roses and the penstemons, then planted two perennial wallflowers, before hoeing the beds. I have lost some plants over this winter, and I am waiting to see if any of my summer bulbs will push up their shoots through the soil which has been, at times, frozen solid.
The miniature daffodils are a cheery sight however and as snow is forecast over the weekend for some places, not necessarily here in this corner of the  Midlands, they may yet survive this next cold snap.
So on this  wet, cold, Maundy Thursday, my garden is waiting for it's own resurrection to full life, just as I wait for the joy to come on Easter Day.
