Bursting into life

Our magnolia is almost ready to break into flower. It's a magnificent tree, no idea how old it is, but it was fully grown when we moved here 24 years ago.
It is one of the first things into flower in the garden each spring and seems to like its setting - facing East with a wall behind it. When it is fully in flower it is stunning, particularly if the weather stays fairly dry.
