Dublin Summer Leagues - edit

Liz and I played our qualifying match this morning in chilly, sleety conditions. Three sets: 6-4 (to us): 5-7 (to Rachel and Nuala) and 5-7 (to Rachel and Nuala). 2.5 hours of a hard slog and we lost in the end. Liz and I are disappointed as we played well. With the exception of one year, I have played in the Summer Leagues for the past 22 years.

It was a great match today - very competitive and sporting and it was there for the taking. - see extra

Edit - beautiful daughter home before party night. She is a party girl - but oh such a kind fun generous person. So edited ‘cos we had a great chat - and Rescue dog Peko - any takers to adopt him?
