saturday sabbath

We’re trying to put an intentional full stop on our week and switch off technology and just be together for 24 hours. It’s much harder than it should be.

Today started slowly and then we all sat down to breakfast including these delightful blue dippy eggs, collected at the farm yesterday. I think the children half hoped there would be chocolate inside but were pleased with the delicious freshness.

Later Eve and I had planned to go out for hot chocolate, just the two of us. But when she saw Zeke looking so sad after his bike ride (see extra), she insisted he had to come too. I love her generous heart.

Tonight we have Vic and Hayden coming over for quesadillas and guacamole and I’ll do a bit of prep for tomorrow’s Easter lamb feast.
