Life from city to village

By Gibbsangie

This morning I went to the sunrise service for Easter Sunday, held on Castle Hill. The hill is privately owned; this is the only day of the year the public have access. It was once a Norman Mott and Bailey castle, hence the name, but all that remains is the mound. It is inevitably muddy, cold and wet, but the views are great - and this morning we were watched by a Red Kite which came to perch in one of the nearby trees.

It's now National Poetry Month - Day 1:
Early Easter Morn
Awake, Arise, Celebrate
Today be Alive.
