Roffey Park House

Sitting alone on a piece of high ground Roffey Park house can be clearly seen from the A264 on the way to Crawley.
Every time I drive past I am reminded of my ancestry, and my grandparents and great grandparents who worked in service for the then owner Sir August Cayser between the first and second world wars.
Although the land was split up and sold (see my blip from 22nd March)and the property my Mum was born in long since gone the main big house was left. It was initially  (in the 70's) used as a secure hospital for those with mental health issues and then sold again and is now luxury apartments. As you can see it is a very attractive house, made all the more attractive by it commanding position up on the hill.
