A cold day in the garden

We are building a new garden bed up the side of our driveway and also fencing off the last section of the western boundary, so my husband has hired a digger to help with the job.

In between giving him a hand with this and that, I have been doing some weeding and pruning and my daughter, Emma, brought hot chips and fresh bread for lunch. There's nothing like a Beatle Butty for lunch on a cold day!

It has been hot for a day here and there over the last couple of weeks, and then the occasional cold day creeps back in. I wonder when the weather will realise that spring is here?
