wha's like us? Our bairns it seems!!!

A happy healthy child should be allowed to find their own unique identity and as a parent, I think that it is my job to create a safe environment where they can learn to express this identity without barriers. I don't want my children to be carbon copies of me, I want them to be unique individuals with their own minds. At times though, they do something that makes you think you are staring right into a mirror of your soul. I am always proud when they display a complimentary attribute that belongs to me and perhaps a wee bit ashamed when they display a less than complimentary attribute.

Take my eldest for example. It is clear that she has developed my love of order. Organisation is a beautiful thing. To me there is nothing more beautiful than a well organised tool wall - a place for everything and everything in its place. I don't even like the term OCD, to have order it should really be CDO!!! What about the negative attributes? Well this one, just like me, gets a bit grumpy when she is hungry.
