My day was considerably brightened by a lovely long phone call with a London friend His Lordship and I made on various cycling trips in South Africa, Vietnam and France several years ago. It’s rare for us to meet these days in the flesh but we keep up to date by phone and, thank goodness, today the dire weather was forgotten in our long phone call.
