Easter Monday Shape Note Sing

A cold,  breezy and sleety Easter Monday, not great for gardening but just right for singing!

Kate, our choir director, had arranged a Shape Note workshop in Moniaive for anyone who was interested, and I was, knowing very little about it. 

If you've never heard of Shape Note singing either, you can read about it HERE. I loved it, but it was a challenge to my brain, trying to remember the names of the differently shaped notes as we sang. What an amazing tradition, though! Even though we stopped for afternoon tea in the middle of the workshop, my voice is a little croaky. Just imagine a whole day spent like this...wow :-)
