Not going home until I get dinner!!!!

Daddy Eagle usually sits near the nest as Mommy Eagle is sitting on it, but today he was up on the Sentry Tree probably looking for dinner. But maybe he is hiding out for awhile.....taking a break from nest duty?  Mommy was sitting on the nest, but the leaves are showing up so seeing her is almost impossible. The extra shot is of the nest; you might be able to see her peeking out ......barely........take a look and see if you can see her.

I saw our local Eagle expert today and he confirmed that I was correct about when the egg was laid. I posted the shot of the couple sitting near the nest on March 12 and I wondered if they knew an egg would be coming soon. Sure enough, he saw her sitting in the nest overnight on March 14th. The baby should hatch about April 20th. It never gets old waiting for a new Bald Eagle's birth, growth and first flights. Fun to see food deliveries, even if we can't see the little baby because of the new growth on the trees in front of the nest.
