amsterdam canals

isnt this just beautiful.

this is the average view on most streets: canals, bicycles, and trees.

today we walked thru the red light district in the cold light of day, the locals going about their everyday jobs whilst next door, there were still windows lit with red lights waiting for their days custom.

its just something that is crazy for us Brits to see. I guess the Dutch are used to it, almost numb to it. but its so visible and in your face. but thankfully there are places you can go where there are no garish sex shops, disgusting postcards or prostitutes.

id like to think i experienced the 'unseen' amsterdam....well i tried to anyways.
