Set for change?
The third consecutive day of mostly-heavy, continuous rain, interspersed with short spells of sleet or snow for good measure. But slowly, very slowly, the hand on the barometer is moving towards change. Fingers crossed for a better day tomorrow!
Set for a change of lifestyle too. Yesterday was my first official day of ‘unemployment’ after the Easter Bank Holiday. I’d like to call it retirement but, since the government has changed the ‘goalposts’ twice (the second time at rather short notice), my state pension remains elusive for a while. But I’ll avoid temptation to write a longer rant here, and I intend to avoid jumping through the hoops required to claim Jobseeker’s Allowance too!
In any case, I suspect that I shall be far too busy to be either ‘unemployed’ or ‘retired’, and most of the time I don't feel nearly old enough to be a pensioner! So many things to do, as well as helping MrM in the workshop for some of the time. But, first, some much-needed Spring cleaning - MrM and I need to de-clutter on a ginormous large scale. So yesterday I made a start by cleaning out two big cupboards, and did a third today. In a few weeks' time we’ll do a car boot sale, and whatever doesn’t sell there will go to the charity shops…
