Cloudy Morning

The clouds were too pretty to pass up this morning.  It was ridiculously cold... but it also seemed like a good opportunity to smooth out the water with the neutral density filter.  I seriously questioned that decision as I waited for each 10-25 second exposure while the waves misted me... burr


Then I got lucky and had the chance to watch two male cardinals, for lack of a better word, play around our yard all evening.  (See extras for one of them in a flirty pose.)  It was hard not to use his cute mug as my blip tonight, but I have the feeling that I'll see them again.  They were adorable to watch as they played follow the leader from tree to tree circling our house.
