Le Bibent

Tonight we strolled 400 metres up the road and arrived at this absolutely beautiful bistro. Like all the best "fast food" joints you can't book and the diners who haven't yet bagged a table are propping up the bar and hoping you don't have pudding. But what fun, and what a beautiful place. So beautiful in fact that it's interior is listed as a "national treasure" dripping with gilt, moulded plaster, mirrors, putti and heavenly, painted cloudy skies. And yum, yum, yummy. Yet another great moment in this lovely city which has served us up treat after treat in a wonderfully unpretentious way.
