Tiny Spider
I spotted this 1 cm long spider this morning on the outside of my bedroom window and decided to photograph it through the glass, to capture the underside of the spider for a change. I have never seen that before.
It was fascinating to get a good look at the spiders tum, see where the legs join on and examine the underside of the head. I was interested to see that each of the eight legs appear to end in a little black pad.
Once up on the screen I could see what the spider was doing on the window. There are fine silken strands extruding from the spiders spinnerets, and they can just be seen in the photograph. I guess by tomorrow, there will be a web.
