Early Winter

Today was all rain, hail, sleet and snow. The temperature didn’t go below 1ºC so the snow turned to slush. Abners Head copped a fair amount. The mountains are covered with clouds. They should be well coated.

The two sorts of poplars looking bare in this photo have lost their leaves due to disease, not because it is autumn. The leaves should still be green. My poplars have gone the same, littering the garden with dark brown leaves. It’s sad we no longer have the glorious golden fall.
