Mist over Bowness- just like home
Today we explored the lake District. I had never been before, so we went on a boat trip on Lake Windermere. It was cold and misty. We went up to the top deck, but sat behind a partition to give us some protection. It was bitterly cold. I bought a pair of gloves for the journey back. I chose this picture to remind me of the mist which can still be seen on the other side of the lake. The sun managed to break through the mist after an hour or 2, and some people ventured out in these boats- not us.Our excuse was that we were carrying shopping.
We the went to the Laurel and Hardy museum in Ulverston - a must only if you're a fan like Mr P- it was well hidden. We saw a clip of one of their movies- even the youngsters in the audience laughed. Did a lot of walking. Market day in Ulverston.
Sun now shining, arrived in time for a long cold cider and a pot of coffee to have on our balcony prior to getting ready for dinner. Face reddened by the sun.
