Lake Bala

The largest natural lake in Wales. Beautiful place for an evening walk with Albi. And as a bonus she found a couple of (rabbit?) holes which she expanded considerably.

Were this not a week of landscapes you might have seen Carl and Jackson in go-karting gear or whizzing around a track. We happen to be staying near a 1100m outdoor track so it seemed foolish not to take the driving mad folks on an outing. Obviously for the record I should note that J lapped Carlos.

Also of note was the after dinner playing of the 8 out of 10 Cats board game which was a lot of fun.

And finally if you ever find yourself in this area then I can’t recommend TJ Roberts and Sons Butchers in Bala for basically your every need - from leg of lamb to chilli flakes to birthday cake to juice and milk and to bananas.
