Not her best day

Katie had been thoroughly excited about today. She was excited to come to church and share in the cafe-style service, seeing me get my birthday crunchie. She was excited for F’s party. She was excited for Lydi’s after that. It turned out to be really rather a huge disappointment of a day.

She had to be picked up earlier than expected for the party so she missed all but 15 minutes of church and wasn’t there for any of the things she’d hoped to be involved in.

She did not enjoy the climbing centre where F’s party was held. She was absolutely petrified on the ropes activity for Lydi’s. Emma said she’d done fantastic to get round it at all as she could see katie was terrified. Katie felt embarrassed to be the only one not going on the big “jump off” challenge.

She came home and said she’d spent the whole day having to pretend she was happy “when I wasn’t”. I think that probably exhausted her more than anything. We had planned to go to the final concert of the festival but she was just too worn out so we slobbed at home.
