dalswinton
You may remember that in January D and I were treated by Sarah to a 'gong bath' from her friend Cathy from the Southbank Gamelan. It was an amazing experience and when I heard last week that a similar thing was being offered locally, I thought we would go along. So this evening we drove to Dalswinton and lay down for a whole hour in the village hall while a lovely woman called Pamela surrounded us with the vibrations from gongs, drums, singing bowls and her own voice.
The village hall is one of the nicest I've ever been in, warm and lit by strings of fairy lights left there from the reception of the lovely wedding I photographed last year for Claudia and Ian. They were married in this church, also known as "The Tin Tabernacle" and built in 1881 from a flat pack :-)
