Glen Sannox

I left Edinburgh at 7 this morning to drive to Wemyss Bay to take the ferry to Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, to spend most of the day with ferny friends helping to look after the fern collection in the Victorian fernery at Ascog Hall. 

On the way, driving through Port Glasgow, I came past Ferguson's shipyard and saw what I thought was the former Calmac Arran ferry 'Glen Sannox' being broken up. Having looked it up on arriving home this evening I discovered that the original 'Glen Sannox' was still working in the Red Sea after being sold - what I saw and photographed was a new 'Glen Sannox' being built!
