With Trump and Putin hovering their fingers over the button, we headed to the ‘Secret Bunker’ for some depressing reminders from the last time the UK was threatened.
Although it is an interesting visit, it does feel a bit of a dated museum with more thought going to the high admission price than the actual exhibit. There was a constant procession of visitors coming through, whoever owns it is raking it in.
Later, we headed to the excellent Scottish Fisheries Museum in Anster, after the afternoon rush when we enjoyed the enormous warren of rooms in silence.
To finish, it was an obligatory visit to the Fish Bar where we waited ten minutes in the take-away queue. I’m not a big chippie fish man, but I wasn’t that impressed by the fayre offered at this award winning plaice. Our local in Edinburgh does a better job...
