The New Quay
This is a view down the Northern Sound, looking south into town. In the summer there will be a long line of boats, mostly sail boats, moored at this quay side. The old quay stretched from the distant bridge to where the red buoys stop, and is being renewed, but otherwise left as it was. This new section is much broader and looks like it will be a lovely place to sit in the summer.
The extra shows the view in the other direction and the ice broken up by the Coastguard vessel. In the background is the Tobacco Factory, built to produce quality cigars many years ago but now only the name remains.
This is a backblip. Today's Blip is found here.
