Stripes
I was awake early this morning so I decided to get up and go for a swim, I was so early that I had to wait for the gym to open! I didn't realise it only opens at 8am at the weekend and thought it would be the same as in the week, but I only had 5 minutes to wait. It's a great time to go before it gets really busy and it was nice and sunny so I swam 70 lengths of the outdoor pool.
The gym is in the middle of the Brighton University Campus and this building is next to the car park, I love the coloured stripes which stand out even better against the blue sky.
Once I'd been to the gym, I went to pick up a second hand Ikea 'Poang' chair for Violet - we already have one for Scarlett, but as they're coming to stay next week I'd mentioned that we could do with another so that there's no fighting as to who's going to sit on it! Anyway, as luck would have it, I saw one for sale on the Brighton & Hove selling pages for £10. So I messaged the guy and said I'd pick it up this morning.
The rest of the day has been spent jet washing the terrace and getting the garden furniture out, then we finally set up the hot tub. It's made by Intex which is a good brand and I have to say that I'm very impressed with the quality of it. Now we just have to wait for it to heat up!
Tonight we had a visit from Belgian Blip Friend GillyBxl who is running in the Brighton Marathon tomorrow. She contacted me to let me know that they're staying local and would like to catch up if it was possible - I haven't seen her for about 4 years so it was a nice surprise. She came round with her hubby and Olivia and Dexter who were very excited to meet the boys!
I'm going to watch the marathon in the morning, so I'm now a designated water carrier for her and I've shown her on a map where I'll be standing and she's given me a rough time that she thinks she'll get there. I'll make sure I have my camera and try and get a blip of her as she runs past.
I'm still very behind on comments, so I do apologise and hope you're all having a good weekend x
