Afters ...
before the mains!
Straight to Harrogate after church to deliver some things for John and Grace to John's sister's for their forthcoming holiday.
They won't be calling at our house en route as we will already be there and they will need the travel cot to use along the way as well as when they arrive.
Chris had a game of darts with 6 yr old Billy and then he got me to play a card game with him. It was a game of observation and judgement and he kept letting me have a chance. He still won! Robbie who was eight yesterday was busy building an X wing fighter for Billy out of Lego.
After a short stay and a cuppa we headed to Betty's at Harlow Carr. We hadn't had lunch but by 3.00pm most of the savoury options were gone so we treat ourselves to a Yorkshire Cream Tea.
It had just come on to rain as we arrived and although busy being Sunday afternoon we didn't have long to wait. We gave the gardens a miss to return on a better day and midweek though we could see lots of daffs and some Rhodis from the tea rooms. So this is my only photo today.
Home now we have had a Mary Berry lasagne I made as recommended by my daughter. No afters needed as son Alex who usually comes for Sunday tea was going out. Still that meant we could have mushrooms in the lasagne!
Eda has been out to visit family too today. It seems she may follow her dad and become a cyclist! Extra
