Here's a Little Song I wrote...

Flipping Heck.  That was a Saturday and a half.

Tis very important to make the most of every day - so we rose early for a Saturday (8.30) and were up at the allotment by 9.30.    Paths were laid, beds were dug and ferilized  - tea was drunk (as always).  Leeks are coming on amazingly, as the garlic and onions.  no sign of the potatoes yet :-(  But the Rhubarb has finally burst through!

Then it was home.  Bit more gardening at home.  Planting of seeds which needed to be planted in doors,  tidying up around the garden. Repotting into bigger pots.  Then Showers, then shopping for the weekend.

Then a quick supper and out the door for the 6.05 train into town for we were going out last night!

J&J Events, (One of the J's Pictured above with Scott, from Colonsay Gin), were hosting a festival of all things West Coast of Scotland and Alcoholic.

Himself was of the opinion that our five beer tokens each would be gone in an instant.... however, after a first "regular" drink we then visited the stalls, partook in samples, listened to some music, had more samples, wandered to the "other" beer garden (inside)  and maybe some more samples, a masterclass in Colonsay Gin,  goodness me, that was fun, some more music..

More samples, a few more drinks, and then it was time to hit the fresh air; mainly because himself had a dose of the Drunken Hiccups, and couldn't stand still for five minutes

As we sat on the Beach to enjoy the dying embers of the sunset, the members of the Band who had been playing a vast range of hits - with 2 guitars and a wooden box - came down to also enjoy the sunset.  I took a photo of them, but they insisted a selfie had to be taken too.  Very lovely young lads.

we then wandered through the town, stopped for a last pint, and then  headed for a take-away, and jumped a taxi - our Taxi driver who wasn't local told us he was originally from Malawi via Huddersfield... and had settled in our wee town about 7 months ago, and was loving it!

Home was a welcome sight... and bed wasn't long in calling.
