Machen Snapshots

Another rainy day in South Wales after a sunny one yesterday. The main photo is of The Old Oak Tree facing towards Machen Mountain showing the rain clouds. It was taken in mono and processed with Ilford HP5 and 400 film grain.

The extra is of the Old Toll House in Lower Machen. It's a listed building and was renovated a couple of years ago with a curved extension as it's on a corner plot at its junction with the main A468 than runs from Newport to Caerphilly. It was taken in black and white and processed with Kodak Tri-X with film grain and contrast preset.
