Fritillary

Our regular monthly lunch friends have a lovely garden and it was warm enough today for me to be able to explore. Many plants are showing new shoots, and these fritillary are pretty, and attracting the attention of a bumble bee. The extra shows a view of the garden where a bold feature is a bright pieris, at its best just now.
Having enjoyed a drink at our friends' home we went out to a pub of their choice for a good lunch. I was the duty driver all day. Never mind, the local tap water tastes good!
