In The Pink
Up early to have a very quick wander round Kemerton Lake, only 10 minutes away - a Nature Reserve formed by donations after aggregate extraction 23 years ago and run by the Kemerton Conservation Trust.
It is 54 acres of westland reserve with a diverse range of habitats with a fenced footpath and 'No Access' notices at every turn. It is a shame with all the area available that you only really get visual access from a great distance and you have to have binoculars. Even the 2 bird hides, 1 being 'Members Only', always appear to be locked which is unfortunate with all the species it encourages. No way was I going to get any wildfowl shots even with a VERY VERY long lens - I don't work for the BBC! I think they could raise more money for their conservation efforts if it was slightly more people friendly!
Left with hedgerows and trees I saw a fly just in front of some luscious pink berries and gave it a blip.
