My, this mulch is tasty...

The U re-mulched the basins around the trees near the evil empire where I work (IT) sometime in the past couple of days. There is something incredibly fascinating about the new mulch to the university crows. There must have been 20 searching thru the mulch and eating yummy bits. I scared them off by trying to get out of the car to look at them, so mostly I ended up with a bunch of blurry photos of crows flying off and simultaneously letting me know how little they though of interfering humans. I waited about 15 minutes for them to come back, but they just circled way overhead, rather warily.

Tomorrow is decision day about retiring. The decision is between March 31 or May 31. I am leaning towards May. That puts the paper work off for at least 30 more days, but I still have the official retirement party tomorrow, no matter what I decide. I guess my biggest worry is who will I be without the job? Will I turn into a lazy slug?

Today, I am grateful for spectacular day I was given which included clear skies, great weather, and a walk with a happy baby and joyful pup.
