Shade Lovers
I think quite a few of us were today. Boy it was hot ..... for the time of year at least. By mid April my shady border gets quite a bit of sun which is nice for the photographer. As the early bulbs fade away plants like the Wood Anemone , Anemone nermorosa, provide interest and colour. In the case of the clone 'Robinsoniana', larger than average, soft blue flowers which will be freely produced when it has settled in for another year.
This evening, as it cooled down, the three of us took a picnic (Jamie's idea) down to riverside and sat in the last of the sunshine looking across the cricket pitch towards Norwich Cathedral. A lovely end to the day.
