The Cotswold Canal at Ryeford, near Stonehouse

I walked back from Stonehouse to Stroud today, along the Cotswold Canal. The towpath is open all the way now. The canal is still landlocked so one doesn't see many boats apart from the trip boat, but it's well worth a visit nowadays.

This is the house which used to be a pub, at Ryeford.I sat on a bench opposite and ate my sandwich from the Co-operative.

A poor life this, if full of care...

When I got home, I lay in my hammock in the garden. It's now past midnight, so I must to to bed, but for the record, it's summer today, and I'm still in shorts and t-shirt. Long may it continue!
