Tranquility

It was hard to leave Portland today, as the spring sunshine had finally settled in, but we returned home with happy memories and much to look forward to here over the next few months.

I had a bimble around the back yard/garden to see what had changed while we were gone -- a very large bumblebee, the first seen this year, was exploring some minuscule blossoms, while furled green leaves looked ready to pop open on other plants. 

The serenity of this blossom on one of our trillium plants -- native to this region -- reminded me to take some time as I re-enter the faster pace of life here. 

My lists are already burgeoning...
