Wings

Our Ramblers walk on Tuesday was on familiar territory - in fact it passed within 100 metres of my front door!

We met at Castlecary Hotel and walked up the brick-paved path towards the Antonine Wall at Garnhall, along that for a while and onto the Wyndford Road. That took us onto the Forth & Clyde Canal, where we walked along the towpath, cutting up to Longcroft and then down to rejoin the Canal at Underwood Lock. Back along the Canal for a bit and them up to Allandale, from where we returned to Castlecary.

Plenty of swans to be seen on the Canal this morning. At one point a group of them decided to take flight and seek a quieter bathing spot. Just about quick enough to catch them on my camera!

Out for a birthday meal at night with my cousins.
