Waldella
Wednesday saw the return, for the first time this year, of Daytrippers, our church's informal 'have bus-pass will travel' outings. We had chosen to visit Dundee, but not the newly-opened V&A Museum. Instead, our destination was the excellent McManus Gallery.
Our visit started, naturally, with lunch in the gallery's cafe and then we had a couple of hours to wander around the different exhibitions before catching the bus home. Great things bus passes!
The picture above is part of a piece called Waldella, created from plastic bottles by the artist David Batchelor. It's not the most remarkable or even interesting exhibit in the gallery, but it is one of the most colourful.
Yesterday was also my birthday (wee birthday pic with me and Oor Wullie posted as an extra) and, once home, I was back out again for a meal with the family at a local restaurant. A busy but most enjoyable special day.
