Up and down, up and down, up and down again
I've seen rather a lot of the towpath these past few days bank riding for the junior scullers. On Saturday at 8am there was beautiful light and plenty of potential for lovely images...but I had forgotten to charge my battery (aaarg!). I was back there on Sunday morning at 7.30 for the Heads races, but it was a grey sky and nothing inspired me very much. And today again I was cycling up and down again and again accompanying my son in a single scull but under a grey sky.
There are plenty of river dwellers with various interesting crafts moored along the river... lots of photographic potential, but I feel a little shy, it seems rather un-English to get too close to someone's home. There's one boat with a row of bright red gas canisters strapped across it - maybe next time I'll have a charged battery, the right light, and enough courage to get that picture.
Meanwhile I rather like this boat with its wind turbine, double parked....
