inspired by Hattie's hair

I commented yesterday that Hattie's hair seemed to be tinged with ginger. We all wondered where the 'gene' had come from. Then I remembered that I had a little box with cuttings that my maternal grandmother had kept. She had three daughters: Kathleen, Marion and Irene. Kathleen, my mother, had fair hair when she was a girl. Marion, my favourite Aunt, had auburn hair. That must mean that the third curl belongs to Aunt Irene. There is surely a touch of ginger in there.

So, come on, Hattie. Show us your true colours. Who are you going to take after, and will your hair be curly?
