Number 121

It has been a lovely day being able to spend time with several of the grandchildren as well as daughters Ali and Fay.  We all met up at Fay's house, where I spent about an hour with some tuition for Emily in preparation for her SATs tests at school.  She needed some sorting out of the Active and Passive forms as well as present/past/future progressive/perfect! A lot to absorb when you're only ten. Emily picked up the explanations very quickly and will, I think, now get everything correct.  We all had a fish and chip lunch and then gradually went our separate ways.

On the way home I stopped off to capture the state of this bungalow, now up for sale, which will almost certainly be demolished and several houses built on the site.  I often wonder at the stories a building like this could tell - the people that lived there and what happened; it looks as if it could have been beautiful with a well tended garden.  It still has its wrought iron gate and a house number attached; I shall keep an eye of what happens.

We have now booked a week's hire of an Motorhome in June to see if we like the lifestyle.  We hope we will tolerate the inconveniences in favour of freedom to travel where we choose.
