Quiet Buzz 93/365
Despite being rather drained by the heat (and my mature years), I managed two fairly long photo walks yesterday. I walked from my hotel as far as Asakusa's Senso-Ji Temple and then back across to Ueno. It wasn't as hot as it was in August obviously, but it took it's toll and there were a number of stops for refreshment. Lots of new pictures in the second Flickr album from that walk including a few portraits of lovely people I met along the way. I think I'll do a blog post on the locals I've met, at some point.
Anyhow, I wandered out again last night as far as Kuramae and I got a little lost (15,825 steps yesterday!) but with the help of the moon and a kindly local, I was home again in two hours or so.
The Blip shot was taken directly behind my hotel and is fairly typical scene. It's 22:00 and the quiet buzz of life is happening behind those doors and windows but there's nothing like loud TV or music that might upset one's neighbours. The occasional cyclist will idle by, but other than that, all is serene.
After all those steps, I think I'll take the subway today :)
