Halls Croft

We went into town for coffee and to see the market stalls set up along the length of Bridge Street for the second day of the Shakespeare celebrations. As part of the weekend all the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust properties have been opened with free entry to local residents. It's a while since we've been to Halls Croft, once the home of Dr Hall and his wife Susanna, Shakespeare's daughter. The Jacobean building has a lovely walled garden where John Hall used to grow the herbs used in healing remedies. The cherry blossom was looking particularity beautiful.
