Crossing the Gannel
We had an hour to spare this morning so we went to find the Gannel crossing that we will have to cross on the next stage of our South West Coastal Walk. We spotted this young lady taking off her footwear and preparing to cross the first part of the estuary. You don’t get your feet wet at low tide. She rolled up her trousers and the water nearly reached her knees. You can just see her in the extra. It took us longer than normal for the journey home as I had picked a weekend when there were engineering works on the train line between Par and Plymouth so we had to catch a coach for that part of the journey. It became warmer the nearer we reached home, it was rather chilly first thing.
