Light
Day three of a festival where I get to sleep in my own bed. Happiness.
First, Norwegian dance, which I had to see, having almost wrecked my knees having a go in January. This was more sedate, and astonishingly like English folk dance: very similar moves and, in some cases, identical music. I was very taken by a 3/4 time where 1 and 2 are the same length and 3 is a lot shorter. I tried to count it as five, but that didn't fit. Interesting.
Then several bands to fill my afternoon and evening:
Mitchell and Vincent
Jenkinson's Folly
Will Allen
Ross Couper and Tom Oakes
and finally the wonderful Furrow Collective, one member of whom is Rachel Newton.
I was at a complete loss for a photo until the sun came out and then I had dozens.
