Spent a fair amount of today sat on top of the cargo net on our low ropes course (think adventure playground - swinging tyres, wobbly bridges, balance beams, cargo net, type thing) and wondering when kids got so rubbish at playing out and falling over/off stuff and being a little bit sad that we wear helmets for this activity. Helping the students round as they struggle generally and calming one who had all out panic attack made me realise again that even this seemingly non adventurous thing is as important and challenging as kayaking or climbing or hill walking.
