Home again!
Home again! Hiccup free. Though there was a major panic at the Bologna boarding desk, when JR still had not met anyone to give her the wee (critical!!) date stamp on her boarding pass, because we went straight into security, then to the gate. She went up to the desk, and they said, 'No worries, you get it here'. Which is what DIDN’T happen at Edinburgh airport a week ago (and caused a considerable detour, distress and expense).
Nice to fly back over Edinburgh in sunshine, though a rather chilly 11°. I pointed out to the tram ticket inspector that there was actually no need to have the air conditioning on full blast. He admitted that they couldn’t control it, and sometimes it blasted out hot air. Brilliant.
We rushed down to pick up Archie from Christine, and he gave us a bit of a welcome, then went and sat beside Christine on the sofa. However, he's now deigned to come and lie on top of me, making typing this with one finger difficult (but pleasant).
We had a super holiday in Bologna (except for actually getting there) - it's a wonderful city, especially for keen carnivores.
Here's Archie trying on JR's little Italian leather bag.
